Windjammer Series 2009 January 17, 31 February 21

Special Instructions:
A minimum of three crew are required, including skipper, on each competing yacht.
Start Line
The start line is the line between the RC flag posted on the end of the Des Moines fishing pier extending to “K” mark.Finish Line The finishing line shall be a line extended from the RC flag on the end of the Des Moines fishing pier extending to “K” mark.
Courses
Blake Island Start between the RC Flag and start mark “K”. leave “K” mark to starboard. Proceed north passing Blake Island (Mark O) in either direction, proceed south to the finish line between the RC flag and start mark “K”. Leave “K” mark to starboard.
Start Time:
First Warning 0925
First Start 0930
Time Limit: No yacht may finish later than 12 hours after their starting signal.
Manzanita Start between the RC Flag and start mark “K”. Leave “K” mark to starboard. Proceed north passing mark “C” (Three Tree Point) leaving the mark to port; proceed south around Point Robinson and southwest to the red nun “Manzanita Buoy” (Mark G), leaving the mark to port; proceed northeast to the finish line between the RC Flag and “K” mark. Leave “K” mark to port.
Start Time:
First Warning 0925
First Start 0930
Time Limit: No yacht may finish later than 12 hours after their starting signal.
Vashon Island Start between the RC Flag and “K” mark. Leave “K mark to starboard. Proceed southwest, leaving Vashon Island and the Point Vashon Dolphin on the north end of Vashon Island to starboard proceed southeast to the finish line between the RC Flag and “K” mark. Leave “K” mark to starboard.
Start Time:
First Warning 0855
First Start 0900
Time Limit: No yacht may finish later than 15 hours after their starting signal.
Distances For handicapping purposes, the course lengths are established at:
Blake Island 22.8 NM Manzanita 19.0 NM Vashon Island 29.8 NM Shortening
Courses: ALL Wind Jammer races will use the following: Shortened course when the Race Committee flies the “S” flag:Start between the TTPYC Race Committee “RC” flag at the end of the Des Moines fishing pier and “K” mark, leaving “K” mark to starboard. Then round “C”, “J”, “A”, “K”, “C”, “J”, “A” marks to port finishing between the RC flag on the pier and “K” mark to port.

Recording Times: Competitors shall record their own race start signal, midpoint, and finish times using GPS time, at designated shortened course rounding marks when bearing 180 magnetic degrees within a distance of 100 yards of the mark, and at the finish. These times may be used if race committee is not on station to take the time. Shortened course times may be used if no boat in that class completes the entire course within the time limit.
Withdrawals: Please call the Race Committee on channel 72. If you can’t reach them please call (206) 999-5115 and leave a message. We need to know if you quit.
Protests:
Protests must be in writing and given to the race committee or e-mailed to tdavisconst@hotmail.com or mailed to TTPYC and post marked no later than 48 hours after the last yacht finishes. Protests will be heard on the Thursday following the race at 7:00 PM. Location to be announced.

A post-race party will be held at Anthony’s Home Port while we wait for race results.
