Starting Sequence
This statement is not meant to replace the Sailing Instruction or RRS 26 but to define the actions of the Race Committee within the rule:
Race Committee Time will be Universal Pacific Standard/GPS Time. All times should be taken from visual signals. Visual signals will be accompanied with a sound signal as follows:
All Warnings and Starts will be made on the 5 minute with a gun and all intermediate signals will be made with a horn.
Preparatory up 1 short horn, Preparatory down 1 long horn. The sequence will not be changed without a Postponement or General Recall.
Postponement and General Recall will be made with a horn.
If a sound signal fails the visual signal prevails.
All Count Down, Class Starts, Postponements, Over Early and General Recall
will be announced via VHF 72 as an unofficial means of communication for the start.
Course
Start in a northerly direction between an offshore orange mark and the RC flag on the Des Moines Marina fishing pier, leaving the green navigation buoy to starboard. Leave Duwamish Head Light and Blakely Rock Light to port. Finish in a southerly direction between offshore orange mark and the RC flag on the end of the fishing pier with the green navigation buoy to port.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The green buoy is a limit mark; Do NOT sail between the pier and the green navigation buoy during the start or finish.

Withdrawal
TTPYC gears its races to the slowest boat on the course. Our goal is for all boats to finish. If you mustwithdraw please notify the Race Committee via VHF 72 or cell phone 206 999-5115 and leave a message.
